Real estate agents love working with people. We always welcome buyers to talk to us at open homes or drop by our office for an in-person chat. Buyers can benefit in many ways by connecting with your local real estate agents.
Local sales data - Real estate agents have their fingers on thepulse of sales results. I know not just my properties but also homes sold by other agents in the same neighbourhood have sold for. And its not just what's selling, I also know what’s not selling and why it’s not selling at its current price.
Mailing lists - You can ask for your email to be added to my email database. We regularly send out newsletters with updates of new listings, upcoming auctions, market movement or lending news. From time to time, my office runs a competition or special promotion for our subscribers.
Purchasing Tips - I love when people ask for my perspectives on the market and purchasing tips. It is free information and you just have to ask.
Off market sales - In my book, I have talked at length about off market sales which a few know about. Selling off-market is a method used to sell a property at a predetermined price without any Internet advertising (as opposed to auction and private sale). Some buyers only buy off market as they can avoid excitement and pressures of buying at auction. If you are on my radar, dont worry you will get a call from me whenever a property like this come up on the market.
Opinion on a particular property - Many buyers will get me to estimate the price of a property (on the market with other agent) or general questions about it before they make a decision to purchase. Smart buyers realised that local agents know best.
Keep you in the loop of any offers - If you ask me to keep you in the loop of any offers made to a property and that is the right thing to do by the Vendor, that is exactly what I will do. Again, you will get a call from me.
Be the first to know - Be the first to know about homes that will soon be available to purchase. If you are serious, do stay in touch. Let me know how you want me to communicate with you and how often. Do you want phone calls, emails, text message or whatsapp?
Some buyers wont tell a lot of things to the agent. To be honest, its easier for me to match you with the right property if you are open to me about your goals and situations i.e. the type of property you are looking for, your budget and whether you are ready to buy. If you are not ready to buy, its totally fine, just tell the agent you are "only shopping."
